The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy
http://www.aceee.org
ACEEE was formed in 1980 to advance energy efficiency as a way to promote both economic
prosperity and environmental protection. Over the past 22 years, the organization has
helped design and implement the Department of Energys Energy Star Program, developed
energy and environmental plans for the Clinton and Bush Administrations, and helped many
states and utilities design energy efficiency programs.
The ACEEE website is a major source of energy efficiency information for consumers,
energy professionals, and policy makers. Consumers, for example, can access a
energy-efficiency guide to the best (and worst) new cars, trucks and sports utility
vehicles.
The site also offers a list of dozens of publications, ranging from Improving
Energy Efficiency in Apartment Buildings to Tax Incentives for Innovative
Energy-Efficiency Technologies.
